What a privilege to be partakers in this wonderful gift that we receive from God. We read in the same chapter and the same book that we are baptised in the death of Jesus Christ, and so we have arisen with Jesus our Saviour in the form of a new human and in the form of newness in our lives. The inherited sin no longer concerns us as we have obtained the privilege and the advantage that Jesus Christ died for our sins.
We also read clearly that Jesus Christ has overcome this world. We are in this world, but we are not part of this world, which is a wonderful situation and privilege to be in: us as Apostolic Christians of God.
God prays for His disciples and apostles of that day, and He says that – I pray for them that they are protected against the evils of this world, and not removed from this world but protected. We can proclaim that we stand firmly under the protection of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.
We read also that we have to seek the righteousness which comes through our Saviour. In Matthew 6 we read – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” If we look at the Israeli’s and the people of old, they stood under the law, but they can only be saved through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We clearly read the same in Hebrews 11, where we read that Adam, Abram, Jacob, all of the people of God that went before us had faith, but by faith alone we will not be saved my brothers and sisters, but by the Grace of God through Christ and by coming to this wonderful doctrine and belief that we all must follow.
The righteousness is this gospel armour that we have over our chests Ephesians 6 -14 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;” If we remove armour we open the lifely organs that work our bodies, and in this case we have to think spiritually. This armour covers our hearts, this armour covers our lungs, and if we expose these unbelievable important organs to the threats and snares of this world, we will not be able to stand steadfast, and that is why we have to make sure that this gospel armour, the armour of righteousness remains in our lives. We have to remember each day that we serve a loving God and we have to reconcile through love and tolerance.
God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth. We read, so loved He this world; but unfortunately, a big and large part of this world has cast aside this wonderful Saviour that we have. It is not too late for those, because we believe that they still could find the mercy and the Grace of God to join with us in this wonderful household of God. We have to remain steadfast my beloved. We have to remain within the boundaries of Zion, the Church of God. We have to make sure, and – How do we do that my beloved? With prayer and with being part of God’s work.
There is a saying that says – repetition breeds efficiency. The more we do it, the better we will get at it, and the better we get at it, the more we want to do. That is what God wants from us, so let us stay in this love, let us stay in the tolerance, let us stay in the example that Jesus Christ showed and illustrated in all humility on this earth. Let us always remind ourselves that we are guided by the Holy Spirit of God which Jesus Christ declared before He ascended. Sometime before that He said – from now on you will serve me in truth and in spirit. This Spirit, the Holy Ghost of God is the driving force in our lives, and we have to make that work in our lives every single day. It is our guiding force. It is the one that leads us from one truth to another. It is the one with the tri-union God that we base and build our life on. This Saviour Jesus Christ is the Saviour and the illustrator of love, of life. Sometimes we have to take a step back, and take a deep breath, and take stock of where we are in our lives. Are we still valuing this wonderful advantage and privilege that we have received? Only we can answer that, it is by our differences where we have to be tolerant. We are not all singers, we are not all preachers, we are not all gifted in the same manner, but when we bring that together the parts become a whole, and that whole is in Jesus Christ.
