There are four questions according to our text:
Firstly How can one call upon God?
Secondly How does one believe in God?
Thirdly How can, He be heard?
Fourthly How can God be preached?
In Deut. 12:5 the Lord says: “But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your
tribes to put His name there, even unto His habitation shall ye seek and thither thou shalt come.”
In Mathew, 7:21 Jesus says: “Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.” What is the will of the
Father? The voice out of the heavens said (and this remains for ever) “This is My Beloved Son in
whom I am well pleased; Hear Him.” Him we will call upon, trust and obey and we hear the word
that is brought to us through His ministries.
The Son of God has established His throne of Grace here on earth, and has sent His Apostles to
complete His salvation plan here on earth. His words to the Apostles were to remain in unity – John
17:21 – and to make disciples of all nations, and to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son
and the Holy Ghost, and also to practice what He taught them. Christ said “And look, I am with you
alway even unto the end of the world, amen.” This is affirmed with amen, meaning this is so.
1.Can He be called upon in any other way?
2.Can it be believed differently?
3.Can He be heard in another way?
4.Who else can preach His words?
This can certainly not be done in any other way!
Let us who then believe and belong in this Gospel of the Son of the living God, go forth in peace,
obedience and with joy on this pilgrim’s journey.
