In our lives, we always show to people our best sides. We know everyone has their rules, and no one really likes to change them. These rules are given to us by our parents and where we grow up. Even God let people know what is good or bad. Adam and Eve in Paradise, knew straight away when they did something wrong. We also know if we do something wrong. We also have to face the consequences. People who break the rules or live a bad lifestyle, know then that the community will not accept them anymore. People so often look for a middle pathway, they act like a “chameleon” and change their lifestyle. In front of the boss, they seem really good; as a customer in the shopping centre they are the King. But at home they don’t care much for daily life. They don’t show love to those around them, they are very good at arguments. They are really trying to be two people. Is this lifestyle, with our faith and belief possible?
What does God think of us, if we put on our Sunday face, and even to Service, and also in front of your loving brothers and sisters, we are so pious. At the start of the working week, almost everything is forgotten. But this is not being true God doesn’t need people who just come and say “I believe”, but He needs real believers. People who can handle their everyday life and bring the word of God to the world, and looking for people who need help and listen to them. If we do that, there is no room in our heart for bad things. Jesus made it clear that to think otherwise is very dangerous. You never sew a new patch on an old dress or never fill new wine into old bottles. (Matthew 9:16-17) The inside has to be renewed. We should like people to test us, and test our believing. With all our excuses, they make us feel good first, but we never get further with it. There is an old saying, “Nobody ever really knows us as we are”. This should not be; here is missing, the honesty and the straightness in front of God and people.
In front of God, we are always like an open book. Nothing can be hidden from Him. How could He help us otherwise? This gives us more hope and strength to renew our belief in Jesus Christ. It can only come from within, from very deep thinking and praying through our Lord Jesus Christ.
