Water and Spirit – they track together as key components in conversion and the new birth throughout the New Testament. One is an act of submission and surrender, the other a gift and reminder that only God can make us new by His power of grace. No wonder Jesus made it so important to being a part of His kingdom. We acknowledge that our best efforts can fail, and our consistency isn’t always consistent. We should be thankful for the Grace of our Lord Jesus.
Through an ambassador of Christ, God wants to dispense His Word of Life so that people should be reconciled to God. An ambassador is a very important person to control any misunderstanding between two countries. It is only possible when he has a strong bond of communications to the land he represents.
Our Lord Jesus has sent His Apostles as His ambassadors on the earth with the authority to help His people to be reconciled with Heavenly Father. We read in 2 Corinthians 5:2 “For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.” The person who misunderstands the teaching of Christ by Apostle Paul, instead of receiving the blessing of rebirth and to be reconciled with God, fall in sin, and takes himself away from God.
The problem comes from the person misunderstanding and not realizing that sin has already been dealt with in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” This is the proof of reconciliation to God instead of separation. We no longer need to hide from God or fear His judgment. Instead, we can enjoy the gift of being made right with Him.
God wants every person to listen and to act upon the word because He loves us and helps all who turn to Him. John 8:31- 32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” We need to present Jesus to people as He is, so they can know and have faith on Him. He guides us through His ambassadors, by the power of the Holy Ghost, to know the way that leads us towards Eternal life. God said in Luke 9:35 “And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”
We are not here to give our opinions, but to proclaim, what God has said in His written Word, the official message from the Kingdom of God.
